Ordsall Hall, Grade 1, English Heritage, re-roofing and restoration

Haydock Slating was contracted by the architects to carry out extensive re-slating and conservation works

Restoration and conservation work was carried out on all architectural elements of the hall to acheive the objective of being fit for purpose for the next 800 years.

• Lloyd Evans Prichard Chartered Architects managed the project for Salford City Council.

• Roofs were reslated with 40% stone slates, 60% new random Welsh slates.

• Lead work on all roofs.

• Re-slating was finished in 2011, after 2 years of work.
